Panel notifications and when we contact you
What you get: find out what matters - a payment that hasn’t arrived, a task that failed, an answer to your ticket - without your inbox being filled with things you don’t read.
Where are they?
The bell, up on the right. That’s where all the notices appear always, no matter what happens with the mail.
Notifications menu, to see them all, filtering by All, Unread or Read.
Choose what you receive by mail
Notifications → Preferences.
Mark what you want to receive by email:
Replies to your tickets
Invoices and payments
Notices about your sites
Notices about your VPS
Service notices - general maintenance and news.
Save preferences.
The honest recommendation: leave Invoices and payments always activated. It is the only one whose silence ends in an off service.
How to check it worked
Don’t trust the preferences screen. The real test is the next time something happens: see that the email arrives and that it doesn’t fall into spam. If your email is from Gmail or Outlook, look for the first one you receive and mark it as desired email.
Common problems
- I don’t receive any of your emails
Look at the spam folder, and then the preferences: you may have that type of notification turned off. Panel notifications are still in the bell even if the email does not appear.
- I get too many emails
In Preferences, remove the types that do not interest you. Do not remove “Invoices and payments”: that is the one that prevents us from shutting down a service without you knowing.
- An alert says that a task has failed and I don’t understand the message
The alerts are in normal language on purpose, without the system’s guts. If the alert doesn’t tell you what to do, open a ticket by pasting the alert text and the time.
- I have alerts from a server that is not mine
If you share an account with other people, account notifications reach whoever has access. If you see something you really don’t recognize, write to us.
- I have marked everything as read and I want to see it again
Nothing is deleted: change the filter to “All” and they stay there.
- Do you let me know before canceling a service due to non-payment?
Yes, three times before: the same day, at 3 and 7. The shutdown is on the 8th. Look at My service is suspended or turned off.
- I don’t hear about the maintenance
They are in “Service notices” within the email preferences, and they also appear under Notifications.
